Rev. Jason Canipe, Sun. morning
Rev. Jason Canipe was born in Fort Myers, FL but Maiden is where he was raised and calls home. Jason graduated from Liberty University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations on Religion and Social Science. He met his wife Ashley( who is an Amherst Co. native) while attending Liberty. They have three children (plus 2 in heaven). “I regularly say that my true resume is simply that God uses the foolish and the weak. The more I realize that God does not have to use me yet still chooses to, despite my flaws and shortcomings, the more I am in awe at His goodness, grace, and mercy and the more glory I want to give to Him.” Jason
Rev. Kelvin Brown, Sun. night
Rev. Kelvin Brown has served as Sr. Pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church for 21 years. He is a Liberty University graduate, has served Amherst community in law enforcement 35 years, loves God and people. A friend of CBC since 1998!
Rev. Kurt Skelly, Mon.
Rev. Kurt Skelly is the senior pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He served as the pastor of Harvest Baptist Church of Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, for twenty years and has served in pastoral ministry since 1991. A featured speaker at Bible conferences, revivals, youth conferences, and college campuses across the United States and abroad, Kurt is known for his energetic, balanced, and Bible-centered preaching and for his passion for the Lord and people. Kurt and his wife, Wanda, were married in 1988. They dearly love their four adult children and six very special grandchildren.
Rev. Dr. Michael Fitzgerald, Tues.
Rev. Dr. Michael Fitzgerald (currently serving as Interim Pastor of First Baptist in Charlottesville, VA) served as Pastor of Clifford Baptist Church for 40 years, and is now honored to be Pastor Emeritus. For the past 3 ½ years he has been involved with the Revitalization ministry of SBC of VA. He is developing relationships across the state, with pastors and churches who desire counseling and encouragement to move forward in the ministry. Also, Pastor Mike has been approved as a teacher in the Equip Network of Southeastern Baptist Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. This program promotes theological education in partnership with the local church.
Dr. David Wheeler, Wed.
Dr. David Wheeler is a Professor of Evangelism for Liberty University and Liberty Theological Seminary. He also serves as the Senior Executive Director of the LU Shepherd through the Office of Spiritual Development. In addition, Dr. Wheeler is the co-author of several books. A few of those are “Evangelism Is”, “Minister to Others”, “The Great Commission to Worship, Prayer-Care-share”, and “Commitments Every Christian Must Make”.
